Old West Outfitters now has Hunting Rights on 8 Private Parcels of property within the state of New Mexico totaling right at 200,000 acres of Quality Elk, Mule Deer and Antelope Habitat. Old West has Elk and Mule Deer hunting property adjoining approximately 5 miles of the famed Jicarilla Apache Reservation (Game Management Unit #5a) renowned for it's fantastic hunting opportunities approximately 8 miles West of Lindrith, New Mexico. Old West also has 2 tracts of prime Private Elk hunting country just North and West of Mt. Taylor  Game Management Units #7 & 9), and 45 miles out of Grants, New Mexico in the Cibola Mountain District which can produce some very exciting and productive Archery, Black Powder, and High Power hunting opportunities. These properties adjoin the Floyd Lee Ranch on its North and West borders, well known for its abundant Elk Herd. The three Elk hunting properties mentioned combine to a total of over 100,000 acres.

Old West Outfitters also retains Quality Hunting Rights for Mule Deer and Antelope on 5 other Private Parcels of property in the Central Eastern Portion of the state (Game Management Unit #32) totaling over 100,000 acres in the Pecos River Region, near Ft. Sumner, New Mexico. It is not uncommon that 30" plus Mule Deer bucks are harvested on these properties annually, mainly due to the fact that these properties parallel the Pecos River and border a good deal of prime farm land. Traditionally Clients are able to look over a number of bucks prior to having to decide on the animal which they care to harvest.

So we at Old West would hope that you would buy into the fact that our property adjoining the Jicarilla is not the only quality Mule Deer Property which we are fortunate to manage and have the Hunting Rights on. Our hunts also host a 100% opportunity rate, and generally a kill rate to match. The quality of the Mule Deer and Antelope hunts on these properties are in our opinion unmatchable, and when you add to this the hospitality and quality accommodations we provide, this is as good as it gets for Mule Deer and 13" to 16" Antelope.

All of our hunts are Licensed through the Private Land Owner Tag System so that there is no draw process to wait out. Simple enough, you sign up with Old West for a hunt this fall and you will be going hunting this fall. Old West will guarantee a reasonable shooting opportunity to every one of it's Clients for whatever type of game we are in pursuit of. Old West vows to keep the number of hunters in camp as low as is necessary to maintain the type of Quality Hunt every hunter wants to go home remembering. Old West can and will tailor hunt dates to suit hunter's needs if necessary. We are capable of scheduling any five day period for a hunter from the beginning of September until the end of March, providing we don't precede any public hunt with that particular weapon choice.

We also carry out numerous herd management, Cow Elk hunts for those not able to make the Bull Hunts, for whatever reason. These hunts are great freezer packers as well as a great way to start a new hunter out (a little less of the fever if you will).

Keep in mind that as Outfitter, Old West will do whatever is necessary if at all possible to provide service to all potential Clients no matter what their limitation or situation might be. Our goal is to provide every Client with a quality outing and harvest, and just hope that you will give Old West the opportunity to prove ourselves
