Dear Attorney General Lungren:
Our entire board of directors was in attendance last evening at the La Jolla Marriott and was treated to your exceptional presentation. We know that it was the culmination of a very long and arduous day for you but, that notwithstanding, your talk was fresh, dynamic and right on point. Our dozen members were unanimously proud to be there and departed totally dedicated to your full support.
The Conservative Order of Good Guys will celebrate our 20th anniversary next month and, in keeping with tradition, hereby invite you and your wife to be our honored guests at our gala celebration details of which are enclosed herewith. Governor Pete Wilson and Gayle likewise honored us at our 15th. C.O.G.G. membership is composed of influential, conservative men and women who will be steadfast in their loyalty to you and capable of expanding your substantial corps of volunteers throughout California. You may also expect to be presented with a meaningful contribution during the evening as well as individual pledges.
Being very aware of your extremely tight schedule, we would expect little more than a cameo appearance and a short talk. Lungren volunteer sign up sheets will be available for members and guests. We anticipate approximately 200 attendees plus media.
The prospect of redistricting after this election is an added concern to us all and we must ensure your victory in November. We look forward to the honor of a favorable reply and remain
