A political action committee is a group of individual citizens exercising their right to assemble--a basic constitutional principle of electing our representatives. C.O.G.G. is a fund established in accordance with the Federal Election Campaign Act and is organized to solicit and accept voluntary contributions from eligible citizens for political expenditures on behalf of candidates for federal and state elective office. Individual donations bound together by ideals, when combined into a political action committee result in a more meaningful total that can be used to make significant contributions to candidates.
Special Message from the Board of Directors
The success of American business depends on America's success -- and America's success determines our future and the preservation of our individual freedom.
C.O.G.G. was established because we believe it is essential that all citizens are provided opportunities to become actively involved in the democratic process.
It takes money to elect responsible candidates, and that is basically what C.O.G.G. is all about. But it is more than a fund-railing mechanism. Properly operated, it can dynamically express a commitment to principles and ideals of private enterprise, fostering a political and economic environment to protect the free marketplace and individual freedom through fiscal restraint.
C.O.G.G. adheres to a policy of supporting Republican candidates who believe in a free American economy and in the preservation of a responsible government by and for the people.
The C.O.G.G. Task Force is dedicated to researching, publishing and distributing position papers on issues of particular interest to the C.O.G.G. membership. We are committed to continuing the momentum of the 1980's and 1990's into the new millennium by supporting qualified candidates who will work to insure responsible legislation.
The following newsletters further define C.O.G.G:
"With its founding principles of a free market economy and less government interference, the Conservative Order of Good Guys' message of involvement and concern in politics has caught on so that today it's one of the strongest voices for conservatism and freedom in the region." Pete Wilson Governor
