Bandera Crater & Ice Caves

The volcano bowl and lava flows were formed by ancient volcanic eruptions. Underground air maintains the ice mass in the cave. 25 miles southwest of grants off Hwy 53.

Bluewater Lake State Park

42 miles south of Grants on highway 53. Inscription rocks from 1605-1906, 700 year old Native American petroglyphs, hiking trails that go right by the inscriptions.

Chaco Culture National Historical Park

Take 605 leaving Milan. This turns into 509. At White Horse mile marker turn onto 20 miles of dirt road. 13 major ruins of Anasazi dwellings that may have composed the largest city in North America about 1000 years ago are featured at the historic park.
